I’ll be interested to know what it is, too! And the picture above it – the leaves look the same but the flower or whatever that is is very different! Has the first one just not opened yet?? I’ve never seen anything like it. I wonder if the family collected plants.

The pod had not opened yet. I hope they get back to me. I would bet any money the plant comes from Japan or China. It has to be reasonably hardy-
